Nikola Strašek’s documentary about a homeless man from Zagreb is one of the two Croatian films chosen for the documentary competition at the ZFF.
The documentary Čedo by Nikola Strašek, produced by Factum, has been selected for the documentary competition of the 10th Zagreb Film Festival, which takes place from October 14th to October 21st. This documentary about a homeless man whose life, in addition to alcohol and drug abuse problems, has been marked by the fact that he is a child from a mixed marriage, has seen its world premier at the Sarajevo Film Festival in 2012.
Nikola Strašek is a director of exquisite sensibility towards people on the margins of society and their destinies. He first came under the public eye as the author of the multiple award-winning documentary I Will Kill You! (2007.) A total of 16 films will be shown as part of the documentary competition of the ZFF. Amongst them is Matthew Akers’ award-winning Marina Abramović: The Artist is Present.
Čedo and Bare Island by Darko Bavoljak are the only Croatian films in this competition.
