''Pavilion 22'' deals with one of the most obscure episodes of Croatia's recent history – the 1991 events in the notorious pavilion in the Zagreb Fair compound.
The film reveals the unknown and dark side of the events that took place in the Zagreb Fair compound in autumn 1991, when the war started. Originally converted into a mobilization center for reserve police units, the pavilion soon became a transit prison camp for all suspects, mostly ethnic Serbs. Many of them were taken to Pakračka Poljana and executed there by the so-called Merčep unit.
